Modifiers

Modifiers are a key component of the Action chain. They encapsulate a Transition, or multiple of those, or come with sets of their own platform-specific changes, such as Material changes, Showing/Hiding parts etc. A Modifier is what actually constitutes the mesh change or an object change, either individually or via activating the pre-established Transition. When we speak about Actions, regardless of what’s being performed in the Scene, we usually refer to just Modifiers. Even in regards to their 3D Software counterparts, Modifiers are non-destructive state changes of the scene entities that we induce to various ends and purposes.

Modifier Options

Modifiers can be added by clicking on the “Plus” icon + in the Modifier Name bar of the Editor panel, or they can already be preemptively set from the Transition options, as stated before.

Much like Transitions, they can be Cloned, Played, Deleted and Reverted from their own Name-bar, and they always specify what they target in their “Name” input. Unlike Transitions, they are tailored to object-specific configurations and don’t share a lot of common parameters among their types.
