The 3D Scene/3D Viewport is the main part of the Platform’s interface and it is a window into a digital 3D space where all the Workspace setup takes place.

Besides the 3D architecture of the virtual space, the 3D Scene section also has (Listed as marked in Figure 2):

Using keyboard shortcuts enables much faster and more efficient scene manipulation. Scene management tools are essential for smoother workflow and they provide:

  • Select Tool - Switches the cursor for pure selection of the scene objects
  • Move Tool - Enables the Move gizmo for a chosen object/part
  • Rotate Tool - Enables the Rotate gizmo for a chosen object/part
  • Scale Tool - Enables the Scale gizmo for a chosen object/part
  • Focus - Focuses the chosen object/part by aligning it with the center of the viewing plane
  • World - Focuses the Camera to the Scene/World origin
  • Hide Selected Mesh - Hides Selected Mesh/Part
  • Unhide All - Unhides all hidden Meshes/Parts
  • Grid Toggle - Toggles the ground plane - Grid
  • Axis Toggle - Toggles the Scene Navigation gizmo
  • Library Toggle - Toggles the Library section
  • Library Import - Toggles the import panel for the Library
  • Perspective Camera - Switches to Perspective Camera
  • Last Used Camera - Switches to Last Used Camera
  • Focus Target - Places the viewing target to the origin of the selected Mesh/Part
  • Save - Saves the current state of the Workspace (irreversible)
  • Spotlight Search - Opens up a targeted search bar for scene assets
  • Escape - Exits the current function.
